The Role

We are seeking to recruit an experienced and committed Assistant Safeguarding Officer to ensure every student in the academy continues to be safe and well supported.

We are proud of our excellent reputation for safeguarding and always strive for the highest standards of professional practice.

As a key member of the academy’s Safeguarding Team, you will work alongside the Leader of our Safeguarding Hub and the school's team of Learning Mentors and Designated Safeguarding Leads.

You will work closely with our multi agency partners within health, children’s services the police and voluntary agencies to plan, deliver and review intervention plans to support our most vulnerable young people as well as ensuring our safeguarding policy is implemented across the academy.

You will be joining the Academy at a very exciting point along its journey to excellence. In March 2022 the school was judged to be ‘Good’ for the second consecutive time by Ofsted and we have been oversubscribed for the last two years. In this report, Ofsted have highlighted the following about our school:

·        Leaders have high expectations of pupils’ behaviour and learning.

·        Pupils achieve well, including pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities.
