The Role

We are seeking to employ an enthusiastic and talented Food Technician to our Academy. The successful candidate will have the opportunity of working within excellent facilities and with up to date resources.

 

The successful applicant will work under the guidance of senior staff, providing specialist support in the Food and Technology department including preparation and maintenance of resources and support to staff and students.

Some of the key areas of the role are included below, these should be read in conjunction with the Job Description and Person Specification attached:

·          The technician would need to be adaptable and flexible to meet the needs of the Food Department; supporting Cooking & Nutrition and Hospitality & Catering courses.

·          Have knowledge of the use of kitchen equipment and resources and the ability to organise the storage and distribution of materials during lessons when required.

·          To order and maintain stock as required across the faculty.

·          To attend relevant Health and Safety and Food Hygiene training and be involved in relevant CPD.
