We are seeking to appoint a team of committed and dynamic Classroom Assistants who have a positive attitude towards supporting young people with SEND. The role is to provide support, motivation and guidance to students in lessons and to help pupils overcome barriers to their learning. These will include supporting literacy and numeracy interventions.
The successful candidates will be required to provide academic, emotional and social support to young people to help them overcome barriers to learning, ensuring that individual pupils engage more effectively in learning and participating in the life of the school. Candidates will have the ability to identify specific barriers and implement a range of strategies to support both basic skills and access to the curriculum under the guidance of the SENCo and class teachers.
You will be joining the Academy at a very exciting point along its journey to excellence. In March 2022 the school was judged to be ‘Good’ for the second consecutive time by Ofsted and we have been oversubscribed for the last two years. In this report, Ofsted have highlighted the following about our school:
